Medical Mission to Roatan

Every October, local physicians and residents travel to the island of Roatan to deliver medications and medical care to those in need. This year was a great success! Drs. Skankey, Wilson, Horn, and Gross with volunteers, Louine Skankey, Darius and Haley Rose saw over 600 patients in 5 days treating all medical problems including basic health screening and providing medications at no charge to the local population. We have local physicians who provide care in the interim periods and a group of Ventura healthcare providers who visit the island in February. We have now a 501c3 organization, so tax deductible donations can be made. We are very grateful to Amani Hishmeh, Dutch Atchley, and Community Memorial Hospital for providing medications. Thanks to Ventura Global Health project who provide support and funding to support healthcare givers on a global scale.
