Help us build the
Matilija Community Pavilion, completion slated for Fall of 2017!

2017 marks the Centennial celebration for the City of Ojai and the Matilija Jr. High School Auditorium holds a prominent place in that history. First built in 1929, as the “new” Nordhoff High School, today that original building serves as Matilija Jr. High. The majority of Ojai youth have attended Matilija before entering Nordhoff High or various private schools in the Valley, and this continued tradition make’s the Matilija experience a large part of our youth’s experience.
The Matilija Pavilion Project came from a joint desire of a number of community members to further enhance the auditorium for use by students and the community alike. With input from Matilija staff and Ojai Unified School Administrators and Board, the Pavilion Project was designed to accommodate outdoor classes, small assemblies and musical performances.

Rotary has always recognized how essential clean drinking water is for all people.  So in February, 2016, when the International Service committee of our Rotary Club of Ojai became aware of the immediate need for clean drinking water for children in a village school in India, they took immediate action.
