The topic of Mayor Johnston’s talk was sharing the top 4 reasons why he decided to run for Council and Mayor for the City of Ojai:

  1. He’s interested in creating more transparency in local government. He believes this can and should happen while preserving the civility of debate.
  2. He’s committed to fiscal accountability. He believes that good times pay for future bad decisions and it’s important to build a buffer to ensure the City’s fiscal security.
  3. He’s interested in Water security for the Valley.
  4. He’s interested in preserving the Valley’s air quality.

Mayor Johnston went on to take questions from the club members on varying topics. Mr. Bradigan thanked Mayor Johnston on behalf of the club with a box of citrus from Friends Ranch.
