In the beginning...
After 10 minutes of onscreen fellowship, President Michael Scar opened the meeting.

Be there!!!
Deirdre Daly shared that we now have a button on ClubRunner to pay our fines and dues easily from our phone or computer.
Confessions and Fining
Colin Jones was our Fine Master for the day.
Confessions first, with Jack Jacobs and Deidre Daly both celebrating birthdays with a donation, and Christine Golden having 2 things to be excited about: new nephew getting married and Joan Kemper honored for decades of devotion to the city with the bridge from Libbey Park to the Art Center named after her.
Then Colin really got down to business, stumping Bill Gilbreth, Tara Saylor, Tony Thacher, Kay Bliss, Mike Malone and Carl Gross. The only one who escaped a fine was – no surprise – Bret Bradigan who guessed the correct year Colin was born.
Rotary Humor
The Program: Patrick Heitkam, Online Magic
Then it was on to our program. Kathy Yee was happy to introduce her nephew Patrick Heitkam.
There was a little hiccup with his camera at first, while there were jokes about his “disappearing act”. But soon enough all was worked out and we could not only hear Patrick but see him as well.
Patrick proceeded to amaze us with his close up interactive magic with dollar bills and cards. Then it came time for calculator magic too, proving he’s got a good head for numbers too. Sue Gilbreth, Leslie Bouche and Suzanne Scar provided numbers and were suitably impressed. The magic portion ended with never ending bananas.
Then Patrick shared that his professional life in the fashion industry has been immeasurably impacted by magic. When he uses magic, it opens doors. He encouraged us to each share our own unique gifts, hobbies, joys with others as our authentic self helps others connect.
If you’re interested in magic, he suggests the “Tarbell Course in Magic” series of books.
Final Thoughts...
President Michael Scar ended the meeting with a quote by Ronald Reagan,
“Peace is not the absence of conflict, it is the ability to handle conflict by peaceful means.”
