Pradeep Kapadia proudly our Speaker (Pradeep’s son-in-law) Army Captain Alex Ameter. Captain Ameter served our country in both Korea and Afghanistan .

Captain Ameter shared that knowledge of Veteran’s actions is one the key things that can be done to honor our Veteran’s. In his presentation, he shared the complex challenges that our troops face in rebuilding Afghanistan. Most notably, that there is no discernible metric for nation building. Additionally, Captain Ameter shared that the top three challenges in Afghanistan are: 1) Ethnicity and its role, 2) Corruption, 3) Outside “actors” while the top three challenges for the US in Afghanistan are: 1) Reporting Roadblocks, 2) Evaluations (mostly being quantitative and not qualitative) and 3) Sustainability (teaching the Afghan Troops to be independent)

President Gilbreth thanked Captain Ameter  for his presentation and presented him with a box of Pixies from Friends Ranch.

Meeting was adjourned at 1:30PM
