In the beginning…
President Betsy gaveled the meeting to order at 12:16 and began by thanking everybody for covering their faces as a way of protecting our fellow Rotarians from Covid.
Bill Hatch led the flag salute and Deirdre gave a moving invocation in which she spoke about the spiritual and societal aspects of food production, preparation and consumption.
Betsy then thanked all those who contributed to the smooth functioning of our meeting.

Fining with Bob Davis
Bob’s fining session was a mixed success. He succeeded in entertaining and educating us in the history of the club’s financial support for a variety of noble efforts. However, he completely failed to raise any money.
DG Dana Moldovan, from Westlake Village, spoke about what inspires and energizes her: taking care of children and giving them skills for life”.
The core values that serve as the foundation for her life are:
Fellowship, Integrity, Diversity, Service and Leadership.
Dana suggests that Rotary develop a strategic plan with these goals: increase our impact, expand our reach, change lives.
Adjournment and final words:
President Betsy adjourned the meeting with these words:
“Go out and be the light in your world”.
