December has some other observances besides Christmas, Kwanza, and Chanukah, Rosa Parks Day (12/1), International Day for the Abolition of Slavery (12/2), Pearl Harbor Day (12/7) and from 11:30 p.m. on December 31st to 12:30 a.m. on Januarv 1st each year, Universal Hour of Peace hopes to take a step toward a war-free world.
In the beginning...
Co-President Bill Prather called Ojai Rotarians, visiting Rotarians and guests together. Bill shared with us that we were voted the "Best Service Organization" in Ojai by the readers of the Ojai Valley News.

Announcements
Reminder: Betsy Watson reminded us about our Adopt a Family and Senior. We can also donate money so that our Adopt Committee can purchase the items on their wish list.
Tara and Bret our Holiday Party committee reminded us of our upcoming Holiday Party, with Rotary West, December 16th, $70.00 per adult and includes beer and wine. Camp Arnaz, bring warm wear as the social hour is outdoors.
Future Programs: Friday December 8th via Zoom, Sergio Aragones (illustrator/writer for Mad Magazine), Creator of the comic book Groo the Wanderer. Bring your children or big children to witness the fastest artist on the planet.
Fining - Barry Verga with really good Rotary Trivia, we learned a lot and received a good deal of fines with Bob Eisler on net.
Program - Deirdre Daly introduced our own ER Dr. Jerry Maryniuk, Financial Wizard Barry Verga and World Famous Friars Club 1st female member Liz Sampson as they shared their get acquainted talks.
