Allan Jacobs wanted to share a story about his vacation to Canada and Washington State. He presented a cheek for $100.00 and shared what I thought was a true testimonial to friendship and fate. You could just see the excitement on his face speaking about a friend he meet during the time he was involved with the Peace Corps and his travels over seas. Thank you.

Fining time:  This weeks fine master “Ren Adam”

The subject today is: National Park History

Bret B. Was able to provide one of two questions related to the oldest living things in the National Park.

Jen Cambell was asked about the oldest park but she Paid $20.00. FYI, Yellowstone was the correct answer the park was established in 1872.

Bill Gilbreth just asked to donate $20.00 but made a great attempt to tell us what is the tallest mountain in the National Parks in the US, but he had to dig deep and came up empty.

Mary Hatch same question but she also donated $20.00

Tara Moss, a new member of the club was asked more questions on park history and she also donated $20.00.

I guess the questions was way to much to ask of members who live in the most beautiful place on earth. “Ojai".

Speaker: John Parker

Deirdre Daly introduced the Guest Speaker Mr. John Parker to speak to all of us about the upcoming Blues Festival at Libby park this year. John shared Posters,Beautiful Artwork from Jazz and Music Events that he has produced for not only Ojai but other events around California, and other parts of the country.. His love for art is apparent in his creations. The Ojai Libby Festival will be September 17, 2016. The festival returns after a brief retirement but he is hoping it will be only the start of a new future for Blues in Ojai.
