MUSEUM MOMENT:
Our town is sad at the departure of the Village Pharmacy. Wendy showed some pictures of the beautiful old vine that has covered the pharmacy wall for over a hundred years. The vine has recently been cut back for painting and repairs to the building. Hopefully it will grow back and continue to bloom with its lovely yellow flowers in spring.
FINING AND CONFESSIONS:
Bob Davis said he was proud of his grandson who has decided to work on the ranch. He will be the fourth generation to do so.
Kay said that she had just returned from a great vacation to Vancouver.
Catherine Lee earned some fining money with questions about the Dodgers.
SPEAKER:
The scheduled speaker was cancelled today so Wendy has taken the opportunity to have
TABLE TALK, getting to know each other better. We were all encouraged to sit with members we don't usually sit with and we were given three questions to answer together.
1. What was your favorite Holloween costume?
2. What was your most unique Thanksgiving experience.?
3. What is the best activity of this club?
TODAY'S RECOMMENDATIONS:
Christine Golden, two books, "White Gloves and Rob Roys" and "The Wrong Nation" by local writer Llona Saari. Fun filled fall weather-under the comforter-hot tea kind of reads. One incorporates a bit of Ojai history.
Bret Nighman recommends one of his favorite movies. Broadcast News with Holly Hunter
William Hurt and Albert Brooks.
