In Memorium…Ron Polito
Marc Whitman read portions of the Ron Polito Obituary published in OVN:
"Ron was not afraid of death. He believed through death and loss we truly learn how to love and be kind, not only to each other but to ourselves. "Life is a team game" he used to say, "we are walking each other home” So, in his honor let us be kind to ourselves, kind to others and live each day with love in our hearts.
So may Ron’s spirit live on forever in his giving to Rotary and all of us.
Ron Polito’s passing is a reminder to all of us what a terrible virus this is and the destruction and pain it has caused. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Polito family and everyone else who has suffered or is suffering still.
Ron was only a member of our club for a year, but he was a Rotarian for decades.
Ron embodied the spirit of Rotary in his caring and giving.
Marc singled out for our attention Ron’s admonition to “be kind to ourselves and others”.

Fining by Fred Farkhani
Fred led an educational and enjoyable fining session by asking questions about national parks both here in the US and around the world. It was a fun session as all of us travel-starved recluses dream about hitting the road. However, the most surprising event was that
Bret Bradigan was not able to answer a question correctly. As
Frank Finck pointed out, a once in a lifetime mistake.
Candice Alexander: Craft Talk
New Member
Candice Alexander introduced herself to fellow Rotarians with a lively craft talk. Her Dad was a petroleum engineer, so the family had to embrace her Dad’s peripatetic lifestyle: moving from Oklahoma, to Scotland, to Saudi Arabia, and eventually to Ventura.
Candice stated that the constant travel and relocation made the family very tight. After pursuing a number of avenues,
Candice eventually purchased the Olivares and Alexander insurance agency. Welcome
Candice!
