January is Vocational Service Month
Are you an established professional who wants to make positive changes in your community and the world? Our club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship.
Our 1.2 million-member organization started with the vision of one man—Paul P. Harris. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.

January 29 Fifth Friday Zoom Party

With our favorite beverages in hand, 22 Rotarians and 2 potential Rotarians came together at 6:30 p.m. on a cold, rainy, wintery evening to have some fun and raise a little money for the Ojai Family Shelter.  Patrick, our volunteer auctioneer, magician and jokester was the star of the evening.  He miraculously turned 18 fantastic auction items into loads of smiles, belly laughs and a whopping $2,000!!  We concluded our fun around 8:00 p.m. with warm feelings of comradery, new winnings and the satisfaction of serving our community.  We, once again, appreciate our amazing Social Committee for putting on a creative and beneficial event.  Thank you all for the donations, purchases and fun times.
