ROTARY CLUB OF OJAI  EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
 SCHOLARSHIPS – Year 2020

The Rotary Club of Ojai Educational Foundation is committed to supporting students with drive and ambition to further their education. In order to take advantage of the variety of educational opportunities beyond high school, students are urged to apply for financial support through the following Rotary scholarships:
•    Vocational Scholarships (1-year certificate programs in such fields as auto mechanics, nursing, welding, electrical contracting, carpentry, dental assistanting)
•    Community College Scholarships (2-year associate degrees)
•    Undergraduate Scholarships (4-year undergraduate degrees)
 
AWARDS:  
•    Fifteen 1-year scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $6,000
•    One Wilson scholarship up to $80,000 awarded over a 4-year period
 
ELIGIBLITY
High School students who live in the Ojai Valley and who will be graduating from a public, private, or home school in 2020.

CRITERIA
The Rotary Club of Ojai Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee will judge each application on need and merit, using the following criteria: financial need, academic record, extra-curricular activities in and out of school, and demonstration of the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.” The weighting of the criteria may vary depending on the scholarship awarded

SPECIAL NOTE: 
 
Applications should be filed with your school counselor on or before March 27,2020, but if you have difficulties  meeting that deadline given our current circumstances surrounding the COVID19 situation, please contact Janet Mahon Campbell at janetmahoncampbell@gmail.com. All applications surrounding special circumstances need to be received no later than April 9th 2020 after contacting Janet Campbell.
