Native American Children & The Law

Kimberly Cluff is the legal director for the California Tribal Families Coalition, a group of tribes in the state which oversees the Indian Child Welfare Act. The ICWA is intended to preserve and protect native American cultural heritage by making sure that native children are adopted by parents of similar culture background, as well as promoting the health, safety and welfare of families. At stake in these issues is tribal sovereignty, which has been under constant threat for decades.

You may recognize the name. Kimberly is the daughter of long-time beloved Rotarian Sheila Cluff, owner of the Oaks at Ojai spa.
