On Friday, January 19, 2024, We were honored to have an extraordinary speaker at our Rotary meeting: Fiona Ma, CPA, State Treasurer for the State of California.
California is one of the world’s largest economies and Treasurer Ma is the state’s primary banker. Before being elected Treasurer, she was an elected member of the California Board of Equalization. She was a member of the State Assembly from 2006-2012 and was Speaker pro Tempore from 2010 to 2012.
Treasurer Ma is a Rotarian and is a frequent speaker at Rotary Clubs. Her talk will be about her work as Treasurer and the issues the Treasurer’s Office is facing.
